Are you needing suggestions of outdoor spring activities for kids? Is the day so lovely you just don’t want to come inside but maybe need some fresh ideas? When winter changes to spring I know for us and our kids it’s hard not to spend all day every day out in nature! The kids are the inventors and come up with some really imaginative and great ideas.
Of course, the number of activities outside is literally endless but sometimes as parents we don’t have the mental energy to come up with something if our kids are needing inspiration. So, here are a few ideas of outdoor spring activities for kids! -Also some rainy day activities too.
Use nature to make a cool tiny little house. You can incorporate all kinds of books with this too. Books on folklore, fairy tales, log houses, natural building materials, etc.
Make a flower crown. We wove some willow together, which works awesome because it provides some green and makes the crown appear more full. You can also gather dandelions or wildflowers in mid to late summer for a particularly colorful crown.
So lovely! It’s amazing how beautiful a flower crown can make you feel- even a mama.
Another nice spring and summer activity is reading! Really reading should be done year round but kids can read more of the subject matter they choose in the summer. There’s not much that’s cozier than a book and a cup of tea in my opinion. Check out some great, wholesome book recommendations for kids here: read aloud revival.
